Williamnagar Civil Hospital.

Williamnagar Civil Hospital was established on 25th June 2007. It is a 100-bedded government hospital situated in the main town Williamnagar.

It is the only hospital in East Garo Hill district of Meghalaya, primarily catering to the population of 24,725

It acts as a secondary center for all public health centres throughout the district.

 

  • COVID Related

    • The hospital has a seperate Flu Clinic for patients suffering from fever/cough and COVID-19 related symptoms.
    • The hospital has a seperate COVID Lab equipped to do TrueNAT & Antigen tests.
    • A dedicated 30 bedded COVID Ward with seperate Male & Female wards, with facilty for normal delivery for COVID positive patients. The ward is equipped with continuos CCTV monitoring and smart Intercom service.
  • Biomedical Waste Management

    • Segregation of waste done at source.
    • Disposal by Williamnagar Municipal Board within 48 hours.
    • Recycling Done by:
      • Plastic waste shredded and weight measured and disposed to licensed waste collectors.
      • Paper waste collected by Ecocraft, Williamnagar for recycling.
    • Sharps disposed in sharp pit.
    • Anatomical waste disposed in deep pit burial.
    • Laboratory & liquid waste sent to Effluent Treatment plant.
  • Rain Water Harvesting

    • The hospital harvests rain water.
    • Currently, the hospital can harvest & store rain water.
